The 2018 Walnut Creek Doe Day Event co-chaired by Trish Gusick and Joy Duneske raised $48,202.75 for The ChadTough Foundation®!
What is “Doe Day?”
It is annual event hosted by the ladies of Walnut Creek Country Club in which the golf course closes for the day and the women of the club and their guests come in to play 18 holes of golf and raise money for a charity of their choosing! The charity chosen stays in place for two years.
“I had the most wonderful day, surrounded by over 160 women,” said ChadTough Foundation co-founder Tammi Carr. “Trish and Joy chaired an amazing event and it raised more than $20k MORE than in past years. You go girls!!!”
The golf event included a raffle, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and DJ. Trish and Joy, their entire committee, and the community at Walnut Creek Country Club did not miss a beat. ChadTough could be felt everywhere — throughout the clubhouse, golf course, and even the staff was wearing orange and blue!
“Trish and I, along with so many generous members at Walnut Creek Country Club, are honored to be donating $48,202.75 to The ChadTough Foundation. This has been a very remarkable experience for us both. 💙🧡” – Joy Duneske, event co-chair, along with Trish Gusick
“It was amazing,” said Tammi, “from massages and mimosas when we entered the door to every team dressing in matching outfits, they thought of every single detail and the event was incredible. I even had my own special Chadwink when I walked up to the hole featuring the club pro.
He welcomed me with a handshake and introduced himself … as Chad, of course! One of the only men at the course that day and his name was Chad. Of course I had to take a picture with him.”
This is another example of one person — or one team of people — changing the world. Trish, Joy, their entire committee, and every single person who participated or donated made a huge difference for pediatric brain tumor research!
