Diagnosed: May 6, 2017

Written by Cheree Thomson

Our kind, loving, beautiful daughter Elizabeth was diagnosed with DIPG on May 6, 2017 at the age of 7. She fought with grace and profound courage for 13 months until her passing on June 3, 2018.

Elizabeth was the sunshine in our home. She was filled with love and kindness. She was a very talented violinist and enjoyed playing her violin before her chemotherapy treatments in the cancer clinic at the children’s hospital. She did this with IV’s in her arm! She wanted to share her love of music with the other children battling cancer and brighten up the atmosphere in the often gloomy clinic. She enjoyed ballet, snow skiing, swimming, and playing with friends. She loved board and card games. She loved animals, especially her pet rabbit. Her heart was full of goodness and love. How we love and miss her!!
